The Student Collaborative Organic Plant Breeding Education (SCOPE) Project will be hosting a professional field day to discuss progress in four projects on breeding for organic systems. Team leads will be presenting on organic Common Bean, Lima Bean, Bell and Jalapeno Pepper, and Tomato breeding projects, as well as a new melon and squash breeding program. Team leads will then provide a tour or the certified organic fields and provide fruit tastings and discuss farmer selections. We will meet at the Student Farm Shop (1551 Extension Center Drive, Davis, CA) at 10AM and begin the presentation. Parking is available ~1/4 mile away in Lot 30. Visitor Parking passes cost $9 and can be used in any visitor lot on campus all day. Several metered parking spots are also available at $1.25/hour.
